Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development seeks an Assistant Director, Construction Contracts to support procurements for the capital program, manage contracts valued around $5B, and oversee staff and decision-making within the Contracts Department.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of related experience, including four in a supervisory role; telework is available one day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Finance, Government Contracting, or a related field.
• Eight+ years of related experience, with at least four years in a management or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and implements contract and procurement documentation to support the award of agency contracts, including innovative contracting methods.
• Ensures contract files properly document procurement and decision-making processes.
• Manages and tracks procurements and awards against approved timelines to support the capital program.
• Remains current with trends to deliver cogent, enforceable contracts for project benefits.
• Provides guidance on regulations and policies pertaining to public works contracting to funding partners.
• Provides status updates on relevant tasks to senior officers.
