Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority Construction & Development is seeking an entry-level Contracts Specialist Level 1 to support procurements for the capital program and assist in awarding new construction contracts. The role involves handling documentation, aiding in contract administration, and supporting complex procurement processes under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Finance, Government Contracting, or related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in contracts and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Construction Contracts division with researching, tasks, and documents to promote the efficient operation of the Contracts Department.
• Provides status updates on the relevant tasks and activities to senior management, as required.
• Under the guidance of managers, provides support to the division to facilitate the procurement and award documentation for various contract types (A+B, IFP, design-build, etc.).
