Qualifications

• Familiarity with construction contract language and its legal implications in Virginia, DC, and Maryland.
• 3+ years of relevant experience managing the full lifecycle of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word for negotiating and redlining contract language.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain client proposal and vendor contract templates across multiple business units
• Partner with legal counsel to understand the legal implications of standard contract language and proposed revisions
• Coordinate closely with leadership, procurement, vendor relations, outside counsel, and internal stakeholders to develop and improve contract-related processes
• Streamline contract administration, negotiation, and execution timelines while maintaining the controls needed to protect the organization
• Balance reasonable, business-friendly contract language with strong protection of organizational interests, particularly on sensitive clauses
• Incorporate automation and AI tools into the contract review process to improve efficiency
