Job summary

Sonic (Internet and Phone) in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Contract Specialist to handle contract, work order and purchase order administration, ensuring accurate documentation and strong communications across project teams.

You will manage contract life cycle from inception to closeout, prepare contracts from templates, track changes, and verify signatures, insurance, and billing alignment. The role is full-time, non-exempt, with pay between $25 and $28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 to 5 years of experience writing or reviewing contracts for industrial construction projects.
• Experience with cost estimating and cost control, budget reporting, and record/document control.
• Experience with QA/QC regarding contract documents.
• Experience in construction project controls, cost estimating, and scheduling.
• Experience with processing change orders.

Responsibilities

• Track the contract life cycle from inception to closeout.
• Prepare and manage contracts using templates; obtain signatures and insurance.
• Create and track work orders, purchase orders, and change orders; verify amounts.
• Review change order requests and ensure terms and amounts are agreed.
• Process vendor pay requests with supporting documents.
• Enter and track project costs allocated to specific projects.
• Create and track/allocate all check requests.
• Prepare AR invoices when working for outside entities.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, management, customers.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
