Job summary

Choate USA is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Administrator to read, analyze, and amend commercial construction contracts. The role requires prioritizing multiple tasks, handling sensitive information, and communicating with clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in contracts within the AEC space, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to learn new software. A reliable transportation means and background check are required.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of clerical or admin experience
  • 2–5 years reviewing and resolving contracts (AEC experience preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn new software and communication portals
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with the team
  • Prioritization and deadline management skills
  • High School Diploma and some College
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and track contracts from submission to execution
  • Spot, rank, and summarize conflicts of interest for management
  • Prepare contracts and amendments using standard forms
  • Draft minor changes to standard contract language
  • Review boilerplate language and amendments
  • Ensure COIs and Bonds compliance for clients and sub-contractors
  • Communicate via email and phone within the company and with customers
  • Data entry, maintain digital records, research, and problem solve
