Job summary

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants in Birmingham, AL seeks a proactive Claims Advocate to manage all phases of construction-focused property & casualty claims, advocate for clients, collaborate with carriers, and help reduce cost of risk through effective handling.

You will join a hybrid office team with in-office presence required initially; strong communication, organization and client-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years’ casualty claims or related experience preferred.
• IRMI Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation within one year of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of a claim from notice to close, coordinating with carrier and client.
• Provide technical responses to inquiries from clients, adjusters, TPAs, producers and claimants.
• Maintain and review claim files per service commitments.
• Monitor treatment protocols and advise on return-to-work and settlements.
• Schedule and participate in formal claims reviews and client presentations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely communications.
• Identify trends to develop strategies for reducing or mitigating claims.
• Stay current on insurance contracts and industry trends.
• Interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures.
