Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. seeks a senior Assistant Vice President for Construction Casualty to lead technical underwriting and account management for Middle Market Construction programs in the central territory.

You will underwrite, price, and propose casualty quotes, coordinating with risk engineering and claims as needed. The role emphasizes large broker relationships, renewal management, and strategic agency collaboration to meet retention and profit targets.

Qualifications

• Ten years of casualty underwriting experience, construction underwriting preferred.
• Established broker relationships within the region would be ideal.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training required; CPCU or CRIS designation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicits and reviews new and renewal account information to evaluate a risk.
• Identifies exposures and hazards in relation to coverage requested and risk characteristics.
• Underwrites, prices and prepares casualty quote proposals in line with product set and filings.
• Prepares final quotation and presents to producer/insured.
• Manages post-bind activities including policy production, audits and adjustments, and TPA coordination.
• Oversees pre-renewal reviews and renewal process to achieve retention and rate goals.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key agency personnel to generate submissions.
• Maintains relationships with insureds to achieve production and profit goals and monitors pipeline.
• Develops strategic plan for Arch positioning at agency and insured levels.
