Arch Insurance Group Inc. in the United States seeks an Assistant Vice President in Arch Construction to lead technical underwriting and account management for Middle Market Construction Casualty programs in the central territory.

The role emphasizes underwriting, pricing, and coordinating with risk engineering and claims to deliver client solutions. You will build agency relationships, manage pre-renewal and renewal processes, present proposals, and drive strategic growth while aligning with

Qualifications

• Understanding Workers Compensation, General Liability, Automobile and Excess coverage forms and endorsements.
• Knowledge of exposure identification and analysis and guaranteed cost underwriting basics.
• Cross-functional generalist knowledge including claims, risk control, premium accounting, reinsurance, finance and legal.

Responsibilities

• Solicits and reviews new and renewal account information to evaluate risk.
• Identifies exposures and hazards related to requested coverage and risk characteristics.
• Underwrites, prices and prepares Casualty quote proposals per product set and regulatory filings; coordinates with Risk Engineering and Claims.
• Prepares final quotation/proposal and presents to producer and insured.
• Manages post-bind activities including policy production, compliance, audits and TPA coordination.
• Oversees pre-renewal reviews and renewal process to meet retention and rate goals.
• Develops and maintains agency relationships to generate submissions and growth.
• Fosters relationships with insureds to achieve production and profitability goals and pipeline reviews.
• Develops strategic plans for positioning and selling Arch at agency and insured level.
