Arch Insurance Group Inc. invites an experienced Assistant Vice President to lead technical underwriting and account management for Middle Market construction casualty programs.

The role emphasizes risk analysis, accurate pricing and collaboration with risk engineering, claims and brokerage partners. The candidate should bring ten years of casualty underwriting experience, preferably in construction, plus a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Ten years of casualty underwriting experience.
• Construction underwriting experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• CPCU or CRIS designation a plus.
• Established broker relationships in the region ideal.

Responsibilities

• Technical underwriting and account management for construction casualty programs.
• Solicits and reviews new and renewal information required to evaluate a risk.
• Identifies exposures and hazards in relation to coverage requested and risk characteristics.
• Underwrites, prices and prepares casualty quote proposals based on risk characteristics.
• Prepares final quotation/proposal and presents to producer and/or insured.
• Coordinates all administrative duties related to accounts.
• Quarterbacks post-bind activities including policy production, audits and adjustments.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key agency personnel to generate submissions.
• Delivers promised account service plans to customers.
• Manages pre-renewal reviews and renewal processes to achieve retention and rate goals.
