Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager in Texas to own market relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will drive the pipeline, track bids and permits, and lead proposals from first contact through signed agreements.

You will partner with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical work, focusing on relationships, revenue, and project closings. Regular travel to client sites and Sugar Land HQ is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own relationships end to end and track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to win work.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from initial contact to proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
