Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline, coordinate with engineering on pricing and qualifications, and drive proposals from first contact to signed agreements.

You will spend your weeks visiting clients, reviewing pre-bid opportunities, and forecasting results with the engineering team. Travel to Sugar Land HQ is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry — testing, inspection, engineering, equipment, or subcontracting.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market of the posting.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded; pursue it.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up; run pipeline in CRM from first contact to signed agreement.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
