Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own a market of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, nurturing the pipeline and closing deals. You will work with a seller-doer engineer who prices and seals the technical side.

The role emphasizes relationships, field visits, and a disciplined pipeline, with base salary plus commission on collected revenue. Expect regular travel to client sites and occasional trips to Sugar Land HQ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own those relationships end to end and manage the pipeline.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded; qualify and pursue it.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
