Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline, pursue proposals, and close deals with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side.

In this role, you will build relationships, track permits and bid boards, run the pursuit pipeline in CRM, and represent the company at industry events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Comfort talking specifications and terms with a superintendent and owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pipeline in the CRM from contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded.
