Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper in accounts receivable or similar.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with construction project management software is a plus.
• Working knowledge of construction billing: draws, change orders, retainage, and lien waivers.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Attention to detail; small errors become big problems later.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively.
• Clear, honest communication with clients, trades, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable: client invoicing, draw requests, billing, and collections.
• Code vendor and subcontractor invoices to correct cost codes in our project management software and QuickBooks.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve discrepancies quickly and transparently.
• Track outstanding payments and communicate with clients on payment status and billing questions.
• Work with project managers to keep job costing accurate and billing matched to progress.
• Maintain organized, current financial records for every project.
• Provide weekly financial reports to ownership.
• Assist with other accounting and office tasks as needed.
