Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks (general ledger, reconciliations, reporting)
- Process construction payroll, including prevailing wage / wage-scale projects
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports (state and local public works)
- Handle accounts payable, including vendor and subcontractor invoice processing
- Coordinate payroll data and job information with field operations personnel
- Assist with compliance documentation (W-9s, COIs, payroll records, audits)
- Support month-end close and coordination with external CPA/accountant
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, construction industry strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Proven experience with construction payroll and certified payroll reporting
- Solid understanding of accounts payable workflows
- Strong organization, accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to communicate effectively with office and field teams
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- In-office position based in Rockville, MD
