Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own market relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will build and manage a robust pipeline, coordinate proposals with the engineering team, and represent the company at industry events.

Expect a base salary plus commission and regular local travel as you drive revenue across a defined market in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded; pursue it.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
