Job summary

Bart's Electric in Liberty, MO is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to own billing and collections for construction projects. You will handle high-volume data entry, COI and Lien Waivers, and cash application, collaborating with Accounts Payable and Payroll to keep the books accurate.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, 3–5 years in AR or accounting, and experience with construction billing. A degree is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Excel-heavy role requiring advanced Excel skills.
• Billing and collections experience with construction clients.
• Comfortable with high volumes of data entry and filing.
• Experience with COI (Certificates of Insurance) and Lien Waivers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Billing & collections: Invoice customers and follow up on balances.
• Compliance documentation: Track COIs and Lien Waivers for projects.
• Data entry: Maintain billing, payment, and account data accurately.
• Cash application: Collect and post payments and reconcile AR records.
• Reporting: Maintain account status, aging, and collections reports.
• Account maintenance: Update client accounts and contact details.
• Vendor credits: Follow up on vendor credits and adjustments.
• Reconciliation support: Assist with AP statement reconciliations.
• Collaboration: Support AP and Payroll and assist other tasks as needed.
