Job summary

Wanzek Construction, Inc. offers an apprenticeship program where trainees learn on-the-job under the supervision of a journeyman.

The program builds core construction skills, safety awareness, and basic tool usage, with pathways into Industrial, Wind and Solar construction. Apprentices attend formal training, complete on-the-job training, keep logs, and pass tests while developing professional relationships and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 0 to 4,000 on-the-job training hours.
• Experience using basic power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn core construction skills under supervision of a journeyman.
• Attend formal training and complete on-the-job training.
• Keep log of on-the-job training activities and complete tests/evaluations.
• Build professional relationships with colleagues and clients while following safety policies.
• May operate hand and power tools and assist other craft workers.
• Meet deadlines and work to strict schedules.
