Job summary

Wanzek Construction, Inc. is offering an on-site apprenticeship program designed to build core construction skills and a foundation of safety and productivity.

You will learn under a journeyman, with training in safety, math, hand tools, power tools, drawings, rigging and first aid, leading to concentration areas such as Industrial, Wind and Solar Construction. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform physical labor.
• 0–4,000 on-the-job training hours; experience using basic power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit enthusiasm to learn and build knowledge.
• Attend formal training and complete on-the-job training.
• Keep log of on-the-job training activities.
• Complete tests, presentations, and other evaluations.
• Observe health and safety procedures and promote safety policies.
• Learn and perform general tasks involving physical labor.
• May operate hand and power tools and assist other craft workers.
• Meet deadlines and work to schedules.
