Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking energetic apprentices to learn on-the-job under the supervision of a journeyman. The program starts with core construction skills including site safety, basic math, hand and power tools, drawings, rigging, and communication, with potential progression into Industrial, Wind and Solar construction.

Apprentices attend formal training, complete on-the-job training, and maintain logs while building knowledge and meeting project deadlines in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to learn and complete on-the-job training and formal classes.
• Ability to travel and work away from home base for the duration of the program.

Responsibilities

• Attend formal training and complete on-the-job training.
• Keep a log of on-the-job training activities.
• Observe health and safety procedures and follow company policies.
• Perform general tasks involving physical labor with basic tools.
• Support journeyman and other craft workers as needed.
