Job summary

Tews Company Staffing in Florida is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support the accounting team on construction projects. You will handle subcontract documentation, process vendor payments, and reconcile statements to ensure timely project billing and cash flow.

Key responsibilities include monitoring bonding/insurance for subs, tracking payroll reporting where applicable, and responding to inquiries from subcontractors, vendors, and project staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience required.
• Construction accounting experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontract documentation, including verification of bonding and insurance.
• Track payroll reporting requirements (as applicable).
• Process subcontractor pay requests.
• Process vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements.
• Respond to inquiries from subcontractors, vendors, and project staff.
• Monitor Notices to Owner (NTOs) and process lien releases.
• Support accounting operations to meet project deadlines.
• Work additional hours as needed to meet project demands.
