Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a well-established construction company in Hayward, CA. This 100% in-office role requires at least 5 years of AP experience in a construction setting and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include high-volume AP processing, 3-way matching, accurate job coding, vendor relations, and month-end reconciliations. A degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent full-cycle accounts payable experience.
• Industry experience in construction is required.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and debits/credits.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and be self-motivated.
• Attention to detail, problem-solver, multi-tasker, and strong time management skills.
• Strong communications (written & verbal).
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of AP invoices weekly.
• Perform 3-way matching (Invoices, Purchase Orders & Delivery Logs/Inventory).
• Ensure invoices billed and coded to the correct job.
• Verify invoices have proper approvals.
• Reconcile monthly statements.
• Research and resolve discrepancies with vendors and maintain relationships.
• Maintain administration portion of the job including scanning, updating vendor files, and filing.
• Assist on projects as assigned.
