Opti Staffing client in Clackamas, OR seeks an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist for a full-time on-site role. The position offers hourly pay of $31–$36, with comprehensive benefits and a close-knit team.

You will work directly with the Controller and ownership to manage the AP/AR cycle and related project billing. Responsibilities include processing invoices, performing billings, maintaining AR aging, and supporting month-end close.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of combined AP/AR experience.
• Experience in deadline-driven accounting.
• Strong Excel skills with lookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Teams.
• Accurate data entry and 10-key skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day AP/AR cycle.
• Prepare monthly progress billings, AIA G702/G703 pay applications, and time-and-material invoices.
• Assemble billing backup and respond to GC compliance requests, including lien releases and project documentation.
• Apply cash receipts, maintain AR aging, and follow up on past-due invoices.
• Track retention receivables by project and assist with collection at project closeout.
• Enter and code material, freight, and installer invoices to the appropriate jobs and cost codes.
• Match invoices against purchase orders and packing slips and resolve discrepancies.
• Process subcontractor invoices and verify required documentation before payment.
• Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and company credit card accounts.
• Set up vendors, collect W-9s and insurance certificates, and assist with annual 1099s.
• Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Cross-train as backup for certified payroll reporting.
