Job summary

SERVPRO in Monroe, LA is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This full-time role handles receipts, reconciliations, and intercompany entries, with a salary range of $38,000 to $45,000 annually.

You will manage construction payroll data, vendor compliance, and monthly unbilled revenue reversals using QuickBooks Online and Excel, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of accounting experience, construction or service industry a plus.
• Strong skills in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Solid grasp of journal entries, AR and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with W-9s, COIs, intercompany accounting and workers' comp reporting (preferred).
• High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's in accounting/finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construction credit cards: collect receipts, flag policy violations, watch limits, make payments and reconcile balances.
• Vendor compliance: file W-9s and COIs in QuickBooks Online across all companies, ensure payee names match, assist with audits.
• Mitigation billing: record and reverse unbilled revenue monthly, reconcile HomeBase billing and AR to QBO.
• Intercompany: reconcile accounts, enter journal entries, keep balance sheet current.
• Construction workers' comp: identify subs without coverage, compile payroll data, file online report and pay due.
