Job summary

Ochoa Construction is seeking an Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to manage vendor payments, payroll support, and timekeeping for construction projects. The role emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include processing invoices in QuickBooks Desktop, reconciling statements, maintaining W-9s and lien waivers, and assisting with year-end W-2/1099 reporting, with growth opportunities within the finance team.

Qualifications

• Accounts payable and payroll experience required.
• Experience reviewing timesheets and labor cost codes.
• Construction accounting knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process vendor and subcontractor invoices in QuickBooks Desktop.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, contracts, receipts and approvals.
• Prepare vendor payments by check, ACH or credit card.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with year-end W-2 and 1099 preparation and reporting.
