Job summary

tggaccounting partners with a privately held construction company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to own the accounting function. This is hands-on, not a large-team role, focused on building structure, improving processes, and partnering with leadership.

You will own day-to-day accounting, close cycles, and key construction activities (job costing, WIP, AIA billing, revenue recognition) while collaborating with operations to drive profitability and scalable controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction accounting required.
• Experience with job costing, WIP, AIA billing, and percentage of completion.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day accounting function from start to finish.
• Manage month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, GL, AP/AR, and cash flow.
• Lead construction accounting activities including job costing, WIP reporting, AIA billing, revenue recognition, and project reporting.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure project profitability and scalability of controls.
