Job summary

MEJA Construction is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial activities. The role will report to the head of finance and collaborate with the CPA to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

The position covers month-end close, job-cost accounting, reconciliations, and support for audits and tax. It is designed as a career path toward Controller within a growing construction company.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business, or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Construction accounting or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Procore, Titanium, or comparable systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounts payable and act as primary contact for invoices and pay applications.
• Manage invoices through the financial system to final payment.
• Ensure vendors and subcontractors are paid accurately and timely.
• Prepare month-end close, financial reporting, and job-cost accounting.
• Assist with tax, audits, and compliance activities.
