Job summary

LHH is partnering with a growing construction services company to recruit an ambitious Accounting Manager who will own the entire accounting function and drive improvements. This hands-on role provides a pathway to Controller or CFO leadership as the business scales and processes are modernized.

You will work directly with ownership and leadership to build the financial infrastructure, implement technology, and develop dashboards and reporting for better decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, and project-based accounting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Procore is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and payroll oversight.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate with external accounting and tax partners.
• Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, and project profitability analysis.
• Support AIA billing and percentage-of-completion accounting.
