Job summary

Engelsma Homes, a custom luxury homebuilder serving West Michigan, seeks an accounting professional to own day-to-day AP/AR operations, maintain financial records, and support project administration. Partner with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate costing, reporting, and timely invoicing across multiple projects.

You will manage vendor onboarding, payroll support, documentation, and general admin tasks while upholding our culture of excellence and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, BuilderTrend).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and expenses.
• Reconcile project costing and reporting in QuickBooks and BuilderTrend.
• Track customer payments and maintain accounts receivable records.
• Manage vendor onboarding, including W-9 collection and 1099 tracking.
• Oversee construction financial documentation such as sworn statements and lien waivers.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on missing documentation.
• Generate monthly invoices, margin invoices, and change order reports.
• Assist with job closeouts and year-end 1099 review processes.
• Maintain organized electronic financial records across multiple projects.
• Provide general administrative support including backup reception coverage.
