Job summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Project Accountant to support project teams in Grand Rapids/Lansing. The role focuses on providing accurate financial data, cost projections, reconciliations, and project status reporting to ensure successful project outcomes.

You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage contracts, invoices, and financial transactions, while upholding risk-management practices and high levels of integrity.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
• Two (2) or more years of accounting/project accounting experience.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or business.

Responsibilities

• Support Construction Operations with accurate financial data.
• Assist Project Managers with project cost projections and reconciliations.
• Support executive project financial status reviews through Project Financial Status Reports (PFSR).
• Ensure compliance with company risk management practices.
• Handle project contracts, insurance, waivers, bonds, and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate project financial records for auditors.
