Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a constructability leader to oversee the constructability phase across projects from planning to sign-off. You will partner with internal teams and external customers to ensure standards are embedded through detailing, coordination, and model development.

You will drive trade coordination, manage resources and budgets, and mentor junior detailers while advancing modular construction concepts and on-time deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 6 years related experience incl. project/people management
• Field Foreman/General Foreman preferred
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents
• Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, Sheet Metal trades and field installation methods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate projects

Responsibilities

• Leads constructability on assigned projects.
• Partners with design and modeling group to minimize model rework.
• Leads project team communication to ensure a successful product.
• Provides materials, content and feedback to team members.
• Leads final trade coordination and sign-off with the General Contractor.
• Contributes to design pull schedule to guide model development.
• Manages resources allocated to the project.
• Promotes modular construction and constructability standards.
• Manages budget and project costs.
• Builds relationships with clients.
• Ensures Connected Solutions where applicable.
