Job summary

Jobtailor in Mossville, Illinois is seeking a senior connectivity systems engineer to own system-level definitions and drive cross-functional delivery across onboard, connectivity platforms, and product stakeholders.

You will translate requirements into designs, align teams on scope and timeline, and ensure release readiness with robust validation across firmware and telematics systems.

Qualifications

Experience in control systems, embedded systems, telematics, or connectivity engineering.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical delivery efforts.
Strong experience in requirements definition, system integration, and validation.
Experience in connectivity system integration for Power & Energy, Machine or similar applications.
Experience with telematics platforms, remote services, or system-level architecture.
Familiarity with next-generation connectivity technologies and system evolution initiatives.
Embedded systems and system integration expertise.
Requirements analysis and system design.
Product testing and validation strategy.
Technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Project and delivery management.
Cross-team integration and influence.
Communication of complex technical concepts.
Relationship management across stakeholders.
Experience with Azure DevOps and standard engineering workflow tools.
Experience with telematics diagnostic tools such as CANAlyzer, Wireshark, and Modbus Sim/Scan.

Full-time onsite work at the Mossville, Illinois office, five days a week.

Responsibilities

Own system-level definition and integration across onboard and enterprise connectivity systems.

Serve as the primary technical interface between onboard teams, connectivity platforms, and product stakeholders.
Own delivery outcomes from requirements through validation and release readiness.
Drive validation planning and execution for firmware and connectivity feature releases.
Ensure readiness for release gates and adherence to quality standards.
Lead complex technical issue investigations and root cause analysis for connectivity and telematics systems.
Drive or support Enterprise cloud UI (Vision Link) adoption in Power & Energy.
Drive or support data center connectivity solutions.
Drive or support next-generation telematics hardware technology adoption.
Establish and drive consistent workflows and execution frameworks across global teams.
Define prioritization, escalation, and accountability models.
Act as system-level owner for assigned connectivity capabilities.
Ensure delivery quality, release readiness, and system performance.
