Job summary

First Student, Inc. is seeking an Area Training Manager to oversee training programs across Connecticut locations. This hybrid role blends remote work with on-site training and coaching of trainers to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with Location Managers, support onboarding, and track training outcomes while traveling within Connecticut up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires CT residency and ability to travel statewide up to 50%.
• Strong management background with at least three years of experience.
• CDL highly preferred.
• Experience in training, transportation, or safety operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver company training programs, including new-hire and safety training, with Location Managers.
• Schedule, coach, and support trainers to maintain coverage across locations.
• Help candidates through training and onboarding with Candidate Experience Specialists.
• Coordinate training needs with local teams and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain training records and monitor delivery and quality.
• Plan staffing and resources for training staff and provide hands-on support.
• Review training data and recommend changes to improve performance.
• Travel within Connecticut up to 50% to visit locations.
