First Student is seeking an Area Training Manager in Connecticut. This hybrid role blends remote work with on-site training leadership across multiple locations.

You will oversee trainers, partner with location leadership, and guide new hires through training and onboarding to ensure compliant, consistently delivered programs. The ideal candidate has at least three years of management experience, strong coaching and communication skills, and a willingness to travel within Connecticut up to 50%.

Formación

• Residency in Connecticut is required.
• 3+ years of management experience, including supervising staff and setting priorities.
• CDL is highly preferred.
• Experience in training, transportation, or safety operations is preferred.
• Ability to travel throughout Connecticut up to 50%.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver company training programs, including new-hire and safety training, with Location Managers.
• Schedule, coach, and support trainers to maintain coverage across locations.
• Assist candidates through training and onboarding with Candidate Experience Specialists.
• Coordinate training needs with local operations and safety teams.
• Maintain training records and ensure regulatory and company requirements are met.
• Review training quality, identify gaps, and improve practices.
• Plan staffing and resources for training staff.
• Provide hands-on training and backup coverage as needed.
• Analyze training data and recommend improvements.
• Travel within Connecticut to visit locations as required, up to 50%.
