Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney to join the Office of Legal Affairs. You will identify conflicts of interest for new engagements and hires, analyze ethics issues, and support the preparation of engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a JD and at least three years of law firm experience, with strong writing and communication skills. The role may be based across multiple states with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• JD degree and at least three years of legal experience in a law firm; active bar license in good standing strongly preferred.
• Experience conducting electronic research, familiar with conflicts and client intake software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and conflicts-related programs; knowledge of ethics rules.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze electronic information for new engagements and hires to identify conflicts of interest.
• Conduct electronic research to identify and resolve conflict and ethics issues.
• Prepare and review engagement letters, waivers, and ethics disclosures and disengagement letters.
• Communicate with firm attorneys and GC teams to resolve conflicts and ethics issues.
• Assist in training programs for staff on conflicts and client intake systems.
