Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney to join its Office of Legal Affairs. The role involves identifying and resolving conflicts of interest in new engagements and hires, and providing ethics guidance across the firm. Strong analytical judgment and professional ethics are essential.

You’ll work with attorneys and business colleagues across the firm to prepare ethical screens, waivers, and related disclosures, while supporting training and client intake processes.

Qualifications

• JD degree with at least three years of law firm experience.
• Active bar license in good standing preferred.
• Familiarity with Intapp conflicts and client intake software is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and professional ethics.
• Proven analytical, research, and drafting abilities in a law firm setting.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze electronic information to identify potential conflicts of interest.
• Conduct electronic research using Westlaw, Google, and other tools to resolve conflicts and ethics issues.
• Explain conflict of interest issues clearly to attorneys and staff.
• Prepare and review engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, disclosures, waivers, and ethical screens.
• Guide others in the Office of Legal Affairs on conflict and ethics matters.
