Job summary

Polsinelli PC is seeking a Conflicts Counsel – Outside Counsel Guidelines to support conflicts, new business intake, professional responsibility, and risk-management functions. The role serves as the primary resource for interpreting and negotiating client outside counsel guidelines and engagement terms.

The Counsel will work with attorneys and business professionals to identify risk, propose exceptions, and ensure terms are documented and communicated. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active and in-good-standing membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant legal experience in conflicts, professional responsibility, risk management, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and negotiate client outside counsel guidelines and engagement terms.
• Identify provisions conflicting with firm policies and advise on risk implications.
• Draft exceptions or revisions to align client requirements with firm policies.
• Coordinate with firm stakeholders for OCG review and approvals.
• Provide training on OCG requirements and risk-management issues.
• Assist with conflicts of interest analysis for new clients and matters.
