Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney to join the Office of Legal Affairs. You will identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest for new engagements and hires, and support ethics-related disclosures and guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a JD, at least three years of law firm experience, and strong analytical judgment. Flexible location options across multiple states support a nationwide practice and the role emphasizes clear communication with attorneys and business staff.

Qualifications

• JD degree and at least three years of legal experience in a law firm.
• Active bar license in good standing strongly preferred.
• Experience conducting electronic research.
• Working knowledge of Rules of Professional Conduct and ethics in a law-firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze engagements and hires to identify potential conflict issues.
• Conduct electronic research to identify and resolve conflict and ethics issues.
• Prepare engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, disclosures, waivers, and ethical screens.
• Provide guidance on conflicts and ethics issues to firm attorneys.
• Assist in training staff on conflicts and intake procedures.
• Close client/matter accounts per firm policy.
