Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking an IT Configuration Manager to oversee CMDB governance across enterprise IT environments. You will ensure accurate recording of configuration items and relationships, support incident, problem, and change processes, and collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and security teams to prevent configuration drift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in configuration management or CMDB.
• Hands-on with ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CMDB data model, class structures, and relationship mappings.
• Establish and enforce configuration management policies and naming conventions.
• Integrate CMDB data with change, incident, and problem workflows.
• Conduct regular CMDB audits and remediation with owning teams.
• Work with platform admins to implement CMDB in ServiceNow and discovery.
• Produce reports and visualizations for capacity planning and risk.
• Coordinate with other ITIL processes to keep data up to date.
• Lead CMDB implementations and improvements across hybrid environments.
