Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT Configuration Analyst to lead CMDB operations and governance. The role ensures accurate CI data across enterprise infrastructure, applications, and services, enabling informed decision-making in IT service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have 4–7 years in CMDB or related IT operations, ITIL knowledge, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, CS, business, or related field.
• 4–7 years in configuration management, service management, or related IT operations roles.
• Knowledge of ITIL-aligned service asset and configuration management and its integration with incident/change/problem processes.
• Experience using ITSM/CMDB platforms to maintain CIs, manage relationships, and build reports.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CMDB operations, establishing processes to create, update, and retire CIs and their relationships.
• Analyze discovery feeds and change records to reconcile data discrepancies and improve CMDB accuracy.
• Plan and execute CMDB audits and certifications; oversee remediation with owning teams.
• Configure ITSM/CMDB tools to build queries, reports, and dashboards for impact analysis and risk assessment.
• Ensure change, incident, and problem records are linked to CIs for traceability and reporting.
• Define and report CMDB data quality metrics; promote governance and training to sustain data integrity.
• Contribute to configuration management plans and ITIL-aligned procedures for a regulated federal IT environment.
