Primary Location: 9700 Wade Boulevard, Frisco, Texas, 75035

We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordination of Campus events set-up, breakdown, and turnover. Plan and manage schedule of events for campus ensuring timely set up and breakdown. Communicate with Conference Services Office Staff and other departments regarding events. Computer literate in Outlook and other database platforms. Expect to work varied hours (5 am–10 pm) and schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coordination of campus event set-up, breakdown, and turnover for all events.
  • Review upcoming event schedules and work with team members to assist as needed.
  • Assist the catering department with event setup as needed.
  • Request custodial assistance for future events through WebTMA (work order database system).
  • Ensure that all meeting spaces are properly cleaned and work with Facilities to address any concerns.
  • Report any needed repairs or maintenance needs to event spaces through WebTMA.
  • Follow-up to ensure completion.
  • Provide a high level of positive customer interaction dealing with public and internal clients and assist guests by answering their questions or inquiries.
  • Maintain college furniture and supporting equipment in peak performance and organized storage rooms.
  • Perform a periodic inventory of all tables, chairs, etc.
  • Request replacements as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring building access is available prior to the event and securing the building after the event ends.
  • Responsible for contacting Facilities if the room event temperature needs to be adjusted.
  • May perform some basic building maintenance tasks at the event space.

  • Ability to plan, schedule, assign, and supervise personnel to ensure setup requests are completed accurately.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry, or regularly lift objects up to approximately 25 pounds and/or occasionally lift about 50 pounds.
  • Ability to accept supervision, assignments, change and correction.
  • Ability to demonstrate competence and interest to the general public, students, faculty and staff.
Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
  • Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, climbing and balancing, plus pushing, pulling and lifting.
  • Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.
  • Occasional outside work.
  • Occasional physical effort required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate required.
  • Two (2) years of directly related experience in Conference Center setup or building operations.
Licenses and Certifications

Current Texas driver's license and is insurable with the college's insurance carrier. Individuals hired for this position may be required to drive a company vehicle. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be run in conjunction with the background check during the contingent offer stage and annually/bi-annually for the duration of employment at Collin College. Candidates who fail the original background/MVR report or subsequent MVR reports may not be hired and/or terminated based on the results of the report. This position is Security Sensitive, therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
