Collin College is seeking a program-wide quality assurance and professional development coordinator for the Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program in Plano, Texas. This full-time, grant-funded position links training, evaluation, and improvement actions across the program, developing the annual PD plan and coordinating college-wide training requirements.

The role involves analyzing data, supporting TWC monitoring, audits, and program reviews, and collaborating with curriculum and performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, adult education, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in professional development, training coordination, quality assurance, or related area.
  • Knowledge of adult learning, professional development, training planning, data analysis and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the annual AEL professional development plan and coordinate required and elective training for staff and instructors.
  • Coordinate with TCALL, TWC, college departments and approved providers regarding training initiatives, scheduling, documentation and data submission.
  • Monitor progress, communicate gaps and follow-up needs to supervisors, and report findings to leadership.
  • Assess development needs using evaluations, observations, feedback, and performance trends to drive improvements.
  • Develop training materials and onboarding tools; evaluate effectiveness and revise as needed.
  • Support quality-assurance projects, track milestones and evaluate outcomes for improvements.
  • Collaborate with instructional leads to translate findings into action plans.

We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary: Coordinate program-wide quality assurance and professional development for AEL by linking training, evaluation, process improvement, instructional feedback, student/staff experience information, and recurring program findings into practical improvement actions. Develop and maintain the annual professional development plan; coordinate TWC/TCALL and college training requirements; analyze authorized evaluation and feedback information; support quality-review activities; and track improvement initiatives.

This position is 100% grant-funded. Continuation of this position is dependent upon the availability of grant funding.
Required Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the annual AEL professional development plan and coordinate required and elective training for full-time staff, part-time instructors and other covered personnel.
  • Coordinate with TCALL, TWC, college departments and approved providers regarding training initiatives, scheduling, participation, documentation and required data submission.
  • Monitor professional development requirements, completion status, documentation and reporting; communicate gaps and follow-up needs to supervisors.
  • Assess development needs using authorized evaluation summaries, observations, feedback, performance trends, quality findings and program priorities.
  • Develop individual, team and program-wide training recommendations; facilitate or coordinate training when appropriate.
  • Develop training materials, guides, job aids, onboarding tools and professional learning content; evaluate effectiveness and recommend revisions.
  • Coordinate approved quality-assurance and continuous-improvement projects, define milestones with process owners, track progress and evaluate whether changes improve results.
  • Analyze evaluation, feedback, training-effectiveness and process-quality information; prepare trend summaries and recommendations for leadership while protecting confidential information.
  • Support documentation and readiness related to professional development and quality assurance for TWC monitoring, audits and program reviews.
  • Collaborate with the instruction and curriculum lead and performance and accountability lead to translate findings into development and improvement actions.

  • Knowledge of adult learning, professional development, training coordination, quality assurance, continuous improvement, program evaluation and adult education/workforce environments.
  • Skills in training-needs assessment, facilitation, professional development planning, process evaluation, project coordination, data analysis, report writing and documentation.
  • Ability to translate findings into practical development actions, manage multiple deadlines and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, adult education, human resources, organizational development, training and development, workforce development, higher education, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in professional development, training coordination, quality assurance, program improvement, adult education, or a related area.
