Collin College in Frisco is seeking a Campus Events Coordinator to organize event setup, breakdown, and turnover across campus. You will manage event schedules, coordinate with Conference Services and other departments, and ensure spaces are cleaned and ready.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, maintain safety standards, and use WebTMA and Outlook for planning. Flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of conference center setup or building operations experience.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and insurability.

Responsabilités

  • Coordinate campus event set-up, breakdown, and turnover for all events.
  • Review event schedules and assist as needed with the team.
  • Assist catering and request custodial/work orders through WebTMA.
  • Ensure spaces are cleaned and report repairs through WebTMA.
  • Provide excellent customer interaction with students and staff.

Primary Location:9700 Wade Boulevard, Frisco, Texas, 75035We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.Job Summary:Responsible for coordination of Campus events set-up, breakdown, and turnover. Plan and manage schedule of events for campus ensuring timely set up and breakdown. Communicate with Conference Services Office Staff and other departments regarding events. Computer literate in Outlook and other database platforms.Expect to work varied hours (5 am–10 pm) and schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.Required Qualifications:Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for coordination of campus event set-up, breakdown, and turnover for all events.Review upcoming event schedules and work with team members to assist as needed.Assist the catering department with event setup as needed.Request custodial assistance for future events through WebTMA (work order database system). Ensure that all meeting spaces are properly cleaned and work with Facilities to address any concerns.Report any needed repairs or maintenance needs to event spaces through WebTMA. Follow-up to ensure completion.Provide a high level of positive customer interaction dealing with public and internal clients and assist guests by answering their questions or inquiries.Maintain college furniture and supporting equipment in peak performance and organized storage rooms. Perform a periodic inventory of all tables, chairs, etc. Request replacements as needed.Responsible for ensuring building access is available prior to the event and securing the building after the event ends.Responsible for contacting Facilities if the room event temperature needs to be adjusted.May perform some basic building maintenance tasks at the event space.Supplemental FunctionsPerform other duties as assigned.Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and Core Values.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of proper lifting techniques with the ability to apply those techniquesKnowledge of safety policies and proceduresKnowledge of database systemsTime management skillsInterpersonal skillsAbility to read, write and carry out oral and/or written procedures and practices with the ability to answer work-related questions in EnglishAbility to operate a two-way radioAbility to perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques and standards with minimum supervision within the assigned time frameAbility to plan, schedule, assign, and supervise personnel to ensure setup requests are completed accuratelyAbility to push, pull, carry, or regularly lift objects up to approximately 25 pounds and/or occasionally lift about 50 poundsAbility to accept supervision, assignments, change and correctionAbility to demonstrate competence and interest to the general public, students, faculty and staffPhysical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical EffortMedium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, climbing and balancing, plus pushing, pulling and lifting. Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work. Occasional physical effort required.RequirementsHigh school diploma or high school equivalency certificate required.Two (2) years of directly related experience in Conference Center setup or building operations.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Texas driver's license and is insurable with the college's insurance carrier.**Individuals hired for this position may be required to drive a company vehicle. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be run in conjunction with the background check during the contingent offer stage and annually/bi-annually for the duration of employment at Collin College.
