Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Northfield is seeking an Equipment and Machine Operator to run plant machinery and adhere to safety policies while producing high-quality concrete products. The role requires readiness to learn related production tasks and maintain clean, organized work areas.

The position offers entry-level to moderate experience requirements, with a strong emphasis on safety, PPE usage, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or at least 1 year of experience in a related role.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents or manuals.
• Ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds, with assistance if needed.
• Must wear PPE: ear plugs, hard hat, steel-toe shoes and protective glasses.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to produce concrete products from raw materials to yard stage.
• Inspect product quality according to standards.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Monitor machinery and report malfunctions.
• Perform machine setup, cleanup and duties during job changes.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area in assigned zone.
• Cross-train on other production aspects as needed.
• Maintain high accuracy in all tasks.
• Follow housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
