Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a concrete mixer truck driver to operate a ready‑mix truck, deliver to construction sites and unload concrete to meet customer specifications. You will follow dispatch instructions, maintain safety, and work with a dispatcher or plant manager to ensure timely deliveries.

Must have a valid Class B CDL, clean driving record, and be able to work nights/weekends as demand requires.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid minimum class B CDL.
• High school diploma preferred or equivalent; or minimum of 1 year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites, as specified, in a safe and efficient manner, obeying applicable laws and following dispatch instructions.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of the work area and vehicle.
• Follows OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and uses PPE as directed.
• Maintains communication with Dispatcher or Plant Manager regarding deliveries and checks delivery tickets for special instructions.
• Reads tickets, records details, and handles payments from customers as required.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports maintenance issues.
• Uses GPS/tablet/computer systems and follows maps to locations.
• Performs other duties including yard work as needed.
