Job summary

The Shelly Company in Ohio is hiring a Ready Mix Driver. The role involves operating a concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver and unload ready-mixed concrete to job sites. You will follow dispatch instructions, maintain truck cleanliness, and comply with safety rules. A minimum class B CDL is required.

Work hours vary with demand; occasional night shifts; duties include pre/post trip inspections, using a tablet and GPS, and performing yard work as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid minimum class B CDL.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and tickets.
• Readiness to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and follow dispatch instructions.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean work area and vehicle; follow OSHA and USDOT safety practices.
• Communicate with Dispatcher/Plant Manager regarding deliveries and tickets.
• Load materials safely, sign required documents, and follow GPS/maps as directed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with yard work and other duties to maintain a safe environment.
