Job summary

Pramira is seeking a Concrete Laborer to join our outside plant division in Palmdale, CA. The role reports to the Construction Foreman and emphasizes safety, quality, and production in outdoor site work.

Responsibilities include assisting crew, using hand and power tools, preparing surfaces, and performing site clean-up. Must pass drug and background checks and be able to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to interact cooperatively with coworkers.
• Able to perform heavy physical work (lift, kneel, crawl, climb).
• Experience with hand and pneumatic tools.
• Able to assist in conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes, and cable installation.
• Must pass Drug Test & Background Check.

• Smooth and level concrete surfaces with trowels and other tools.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete mixtures.
• Install anchors, forms, and other fixtures in concrete.
• Check the quality of the finished product.
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.
• Dig trenches and manage earth.
• Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces.
• Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform site clean-up.
• Complete all required Company documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must always comply with safety standards/procedures and operate equipment safely per Pramira’s safety standards.

Job Description

The Concrete Laborer is a member of our outside plant division, is directed by the Construction Foreman, accountable to ensure accuracy related to tasks and follow all policies and procedures related to safety, quality and production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Assist crew members with construction work as required
• Use hand and power tools to finish concrete surfaces.
• Smooth and level concrete surfaces with trowels and other tools.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete mixtures.
• Install anchors, forms, and other fixtures in concrete.
• Check the quality of the finished product.
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner
• Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth
• Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
• Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables
• Maintain equipment
• Perform site clean-up
• Complete all required Company documentation
• Other duties as assigned
• Must always comply with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices while operating equipment according to Pramira’s safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old, have a valid driver license with clean driving record
• Self-motivated with ability to following oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy physical objects, kneel, couch, balance, climb or crawl
• Frequently use hand tools, pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, 60 & 90lb jackhammer, chipping hammer)
• Must have the ability to assist in the installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes and cable.
• Must pass a Drug Test & Background Check

Additional Information

Pay range:$21-$26/hr DOE
