Job summary

Pramira is hiring a Laborer for its outside plant division in Palmdale, CA. You will assist the crew with underground fiber construction, ensure site safety, and support various install tasks.

Responsibilities include site prep, trenching, equipment maintenance, and handling conduit and vaults. The role requires physical work, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards; comprehensive documentation duties are included.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old with a valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Ability to perform heavy physical tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work safely.
• Demonstrated teamwork and cooperative attitude with coworkers.
• Drug test and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites to remove hazards.
• Assist crew with construction work as needed.
• Operate compressors and pneumatic tools as directed.
• Install pedestals and vaults and handle cables.
• Load, transport, and unload tools and materials safely.
• Dig trenches and manage earth movement; maintain equipment.
• Complete required company documentation and site cleanup.

Job Description

• Preferred - Underground Fiber Construction

The Laborer is a member of our outside plant division, is directed by the Construction Foreman, accountable to ensure accuracy related to tasks and follow all policies and procedures related to safety, quality and production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Assist crew members with construction work as required
• Operate compressors and missiles
• Install pedestals and vaults
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner
• Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth
• Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
• Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables
• Maintain equipment
• Perform site clean-up
• Complete all required Company documentation
• Other duties as assigned
• Must always comply with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices while operating equipment according to Pramira’ s safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old, have a valid driver license with clean driving record
• Self-motivated with ability to following oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy physical objects, kneel, crouch, balance, climb or crawl
• Frequently use hand tools, pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, 60 & 90lb jackhammer, chipping hammer)
• Must have the ability to assist in the installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes and cable.
• Must pass a Drug Test & Background Check

Additional Information

Pay range: $21-$26/hr. DOE
