• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or closely related field) with 4 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years cost estimating for large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Willingness to work extended hours as project schedules require and travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs to determine NexGen’s interest in pursuits.
• Complete quantity take-offs and document reviews for cost estimates.
• Solicit bids and proposals from vendors.
• Verify scopes and level bids from vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare proposals and participate in bid review and pre-award meetings.
• Assist with project turnover after award.
• Conduct site walks to observe field conditions affecting bids.
• Negotiate bids to obtain competitive pricing.
• Support the Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager as needed.
