Job summary

NexGen Contracting, based in Franklin, TN, is seeking a Concrete Estimator to review RFPs, conduct quantity take-offs, compile cost estimates, solicit bids, verify scopes, and help prepare proposals. You will participate in bid review, pre‑award, and post‑bid discussions and assist the Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or closely related field) with 4+ years related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years cost estimating for large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs to determine company interest in pursuits.
• Complete quantity take-offs and document reviews for cost estimates.
• Solicit bids and proposals from vendors.
• Verify scopes and bid levels from vendors/suppliers.
• Prepare proposals and participate in bid review and pre-award meetings.
• Assist with project turnover after award.
• Conduct job walks to observe field conditions that may impact bids.
• Negotiate bids for competitive pricing.
• Support Senior Estimator and Preconstruction Manager as needed.
